Francisco Edgardo Estevez-Carrizo

In 1980 Dr. Francisco E. Estevez-Carrizo graduated doctor in medicine at the State University in Montevideo, Uruguay. In 1984 he was granted a Fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology at the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm. At the same time he worked in Drug Surveillance and Regulatory Sciences at the Swedish Drug Agency. In 1991 Dr. Estevez-Carrizo was Fullbright Scholar at the Department of Pharmacology of the Pennstate University, PA, USA. In 1993 he was appointed Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the State University, Montevideo. Dr. Estevez-Carrizo was resident at the University Hospital in Montevideo and had a board certificate degree as specialist in Clinical Pharmacology and in Internal Medicine. His focused in Bioequivalence/Pharmacogenomics studies and participated in several clinical pharmacology trials. He was principal author of several articles published in peer reviewed journals. Dr. Estevez-Carrizo is Currently full Professor of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Montevideo and Chief Medical Officer of the Center for Clinical Pharmacology Research BdBeq-CRO at the Italian Hospital, Montevideo.
