effect of crop rotation duration in sandy soil nutrition (northern Darfur)   EKRAM SOULIMN GUMA, BSC (ekramsoulimangama@gmail.com) CO-ASSISTANT at KHARTOUM university - SOUDAN  This study in northern Darfur region in Alkoma witch located longitude (25,7 -26) east and latitude (15 -13)north far from Alfashir the capital of the state about 80Km. The aim of study is to estimate the impact of crop rotation duration on sandy soil characteristic   , nitrogen   and organic carbon component  in soil . Sample collected from northern Darfur state (Alkowma) using GPS techniques , from different Auger and profiles .from bare soil and planted farm (same years) ,soil physical and chemical analysis at Sudan University laprotries , mechanical analysis result shows that according to texture triangle it is sandy soil with max (81    - 87   )%,clay percentage is between (12     - 14  )  while silt range ( 0 - 4  )soil PH and EC the PH reaction (7.6      -  8.2       ) wile EC range  (  0.1    -0.3     ), soil cations and anions the high amount of ca +mg is (  3.1 ) ,when Na range between (  2   -    5  ) , K is very few ( 0.05   -  0.2  ) soil bicarbonate in sup surface (   0.6    - 1.2     ) and in the surface (0.8  -1.8   ),N is very low (  0.02 ) ,while P  range between (  .05   -  1.5    ) CEC in soil (4.84     -   8.71). The results show that it’s sandy soil sand more than 80precent ,the soil is poor and plant nutrition doesn’t affected by the duration of crop that is may be due to the bad weather . Ekram has completed BSC from Sudan university, agricultural studies ,soil and water science department Ekram  worked as co assistant teacher in Sudan university ,and co assistant at national center for research and Khartoum university lab ,I have experiences with help in develop this specialization.   Linked in = Ekram Guma Mobile number: 249906525368 Category: Oral
