   Exceptional Points in Eigenvalue Problems

After a brief survey about Exceptional Points their significance
and observational effects in a large variety of physical phenomena
is presented. Their occurrence has been established experimentally
by the Darmstadt group already in 2001 on the suggestion of the
presenter of this talk. In the meanwhile there are hundreds of
observations/applications.
